Can you take over service on a system another company installed?
Yes — in most cases. We service commercial fire alarm systems from the major manufacturers regardless of who installed them. Certain proprietary platforms have restrictions, which we identify up front before you commit to anything. Start with the panel make and model and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can support it.
How often does a commercial fire alarm system need to be tested?
Most commercial systems require testing and inspection on a regular schedule set by the fire code and NFPA 72 as adopted in your state, with annual testing being the most common requirement — and some components on more frequent schedules. Your occupancy, your AHJ, and your insurance carrier can all affect the details, so we confirm the requirements for your specific building.
What happens if my system has open deficiencies?
Deficiencies don’t disappear because a report gets filed — the AHJ or your insurer will expect them corrected. We review the report, separate what is urgent from what is bookkeeping, quote the corrections, and document the fixes so the record is closed properly.
Do you handle both the fire alarm work and the monitoring?
Yes. We install and service systems and we arrange central-station monitoring, including communicator upgrades and takeovers of existing monitored accounts. Having one accountable company for both removes the finger-pointing when something needs attention.
